[How to] Install Android N Developer Preview 5 on Google Nexus Player

Nexus Player is a media streaming device. Released in October 2014, it is the successor to the Nexus Q. It connects to an HDTV or home theater system to to essentially convert your current TV into a smart TV. The Nexus Player is powered by an Intel Atom 1.8Ghz quad-core processor, has 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage. As well as playing video and audio, it also allows you to play Android games on the big screen, and even has an optional game controller available for an improved gaming experience.

Google has released Android N Developer Preview 5 for a select few devices. Nexus Player is one of those lucky devices. Instead of signing up for beta program and waiting for OTA, you can manually install it. Follow the guide below.

Nexus 6 features a large 5.96″ AMOLED QHD display, with a resolution of 1440 x 2560, giving it an impressive 493 ppi pixel density. It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core 2.7GHz processor, with 3GB of RAM, and either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage. The Nexus 6 shooter comes in at 13MP, with optical image stabilisation and a twin-LED ring flash, for clearer photos in low light conditions. [How to] Install Android N Developer Preview 5 on Google Nexus 5X

Nexus 5X is powered by a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC, 2GB of RAM. Nexus 5X has a 5.2in display. Storage comes in at either 16GB or 32GB.
