Its been more than a month since Android 6.0 Marshmallow was launched. As usual, it was not a perfect OS and it had some small bugs. So Google is now rolling out Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update which is related to bug fixes. And this update has started hitting Android One devices.

First device to get Android 6.0.1 update is H220, the Cherry Mobile Android G1 for the Philippines. The Android security patch level is dated December 1, 2015 despite today being only November 22, 2015.

We do not have any concrete information as to what this update brings to the device but soon will come to know about it. After this update, Google is planning to roll out the Android 6.1 update but this wont begin until the start of the next year.

When Google launched Android One program, nobody was sure about Google’s promise to update Android One devices, but with this update, Google has stayed true to its word.

Android 6.0.1 update has not reached all the Nexus devices yet. But it is expected that all of the Nexus devices which received Android 6.0 update will get this latest update.
