Apple has started sending out invites for a September 9 event and it is widely believed to be the launch date of the next generation iPhone. Along with the iPhone, Apple is also set to unveil the iWatch (or the iBand) alongside the iOS 8.
Some leaked specs of this include – 4.7″/5.5″ display, A8 chip with a dual core 2GHz processor, 2 GB of RAM and 8 MP camera. It will come with various storage options – 16/32/64 and 128 GB. The battery will be non removable with a capacity of 1810 mAh.
Apple’s iWatch is set to integrate heavily with the company’s newly launched HealthKit and HomeKit platforms (for fitness tracking and home automation) which form part of the company’s iOS 8 software.
After the September 9 launch, the availability of these devices is expected to be within 15 to 20 days as is the norm of the Apple devices. Apple has not confirmed anything yet but only a few days remain for the launch of the biggest Apple event of the year.
