Apple have taken the wraps off the new iPhone SE. This iPhone is only 4″ in size and caters to the needs of the market which prefer a smaller display.
“iPhone SE is an exciting new idea — we started with a beloved, iconic design and reinvented it from the inside out. The result is the most beautiful and powerful phone with a four-inch display in the world,” Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president (worldwide marketing) said in a statement.
iPhone SE is basically a mixture of iPhone 5s and iPhone 6s. While the screen size is same as iPhone 5s, it has most of the specs of iPhone 6s except for the 3D touch display.
iPhone SE has a 4″ retina display. It will be powered by Apple’s proprietary A9 SoC, M9 co-processor and 16GB/64GB inbuilt storage. It will run on latest iOS 9.3. iPhone SE consists of 12MP iSight camera with 4K video recording ability, live photos feature and on the front, it features a 1.2MP FaceTime camera with Retina flash.
iPhone SE 16GB is priced at $399 while the 64GB variant will cost $499. It comes in four color options – gold, silver, space grey and rose gold. The pre-orders will begin from March 24 and it will be available in stores from March 31.
