A few days ago, AT&T released a teaser of Samsung Galaxy S6 Active. Now they have officially unveiled it and have uploaded a video on YouTube showing its features.
Like the previous Active versions, S6 Active offers a rugged version of the flagship device with most of the specs remaining same.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Active will have a 5.1-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display, a 64-bit octa-core Samsung Exynos 7420 processor, 32GB of on-board storage, a 16MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera.
It will run on Android 5.0.2. The battery capacity of this device is 3500mAh and it features both wireless charging and fast charging.
Galaxy S6 Active has an IP68 rating which means it’s submersible in up to 1.5m of water for up to 30 minutes. It also meets MIL-STD-810G standards for shock resistance.
Another addition to Galaxy S6 Active is a hardware button on left which gives access to Activity Zone. It will give you quick access to applications like Weather, Stopwatch and S Health overview.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Active will be available from 12th June. You can buy it for $199 with a 2 year contract or $28.96 per month for 24 months with AT&T’s Next plan.
