Blackberry has ditched its own OS and have decided to use Android as their OS. Blackberry Priv is the first device from Blackberry to run on Android. And now the preorders for this device have begun with Blackberry claiming it will be shipped by 6 November.
Blackberry Priv is one of the rare devices to have a slider keyboard and a full touch screen. Additionally it is a combination of Android’s features and Blackberry’s security which makes it a great device.
Blackberry Priv will feature a 5.4-inch Quad HD (2560×1440) pixel display, Snapdragon 808 processor with 3GB RAM. Priv will feature an 18MP 6-element f/2.2 camera with Optical Image Stabilisation, Phase Detection Auto Focus (with fast focus lock), dual-colour LED flash and 4K video recording. The front camera is a 2MP fixed-focus f/2.8 camera with large 1.75µm pixel size for low light images and Selfie Panorama mode.
Blackberry Priv is priced at $699 in the USA, $899 in Canada and £559 in the UK.
