Google translate isn’t new to the Android or iOS but whats new is the completely realtime translation like never experienced before. The latest app has a number of new features as mentioned below:

  • Translate text and speech between more than 60 languages
  • Three input methods: Text, Voice and Camera.
  • Read out the translations aloud
  • Save your favorite translations for quick, offline access
  • Translate without a network connection with our offline language packages

One of the highlights of this feature is the offline translation. Even if you arewellravelling in a foreign land and want to avoid the huge data usage bills simply use the offline translation option. Another stunning feature is the camera input. This means that if you come across a sign board, menu or instructions that are in some other language simple pick up your phone point it at the text click a pic and let Google Translate do it’s magic(not available in iOS version). This app is takes voice input and also reads aloud translations hence it’s easy to communicate with a person who speaks another language. This app is available for Android as well as iOS.
