Dell has announced a new tablet – Venue 10 7000. It is a 10.5″ tablet and a successor to Dell Venue 8 7000 tablet. Both these tablets have very minor differences. But the Dell Venue 10 7000 comes with a bulky cylinder on one of the long edges which can be used to connect it with a keyboard which Dell itself will provide.
The specs of the Venue 10 7000 is almost the same as Venue 8. It comes with a huge 10.5-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600. This display is powered by a by an Intel Atom Z3580 processor, 2GB of RAM.
The battery capacity of Venue 10 7000 is 7,000mAh. It has an 8MP rear-facing camera complete with Dell’s RealSense 3D technology. It will run on Android Lollipop.
As mentioned before the keyboard for this tablet will be provided by Dell. The keyboard is backlit and runs off of the tablet’s battery. Dell is of the opinion that the tablet can last 7 hours after a full charge of the battery.
The tablet will be available in United States, Canada and China for $499 from May. With the keyboard, it will cost $629.
