Google has started to roll out the Google Play Store 4.1.6 update. This version has some few changes in the design and some bug fixes.

The open and the uninstall buttons of the Play Store have been given a new design. Another slight tweak is “My Wishlist” has been changed to “My wishlist”. On pressing the “My wishlist” the user will see card design that displays apps in rows of three from left to right rather than a list view which was seen earlier.

There’s also a new redeem interface for Google Play gift cards. The menu button for the apps on the Play Store now shows an additional option to buy the app along with the “My wishlist” option which was already present.

Another UI tweak that is visible is that the settings tab has been changed from the dark theme to a much lighter theme.

The Google Play Store now warns you about a large update to an app when you are on a mobile data connection. Previously, no such warning was given to the users in case of a large app update.

The “Update All” works for the apps with new permissions. The user will have to approve the new permissions. One thing which was noted is that the update button will show “Update All” even if there is a single app to be updated.

Users who want to check out the latest Google Play Store 4.1.6 can download it from here.

Thanx 4 the info. One problem, the file in the download link provided could be compromised or corrupt. It failed the file integrity check of the MD5 checksum provided on the download page which is in fact the checksum for this particular version.

I apologise for the misinformation. It appears my downloader was the cause of a failed file integrity check.
