Samsung released it’s latest flagship device this year – Samsung Galaxy S4. Along with the excellent hardware, some new features were added in the App bundle. Among them was the Group Play feature. When multiple Galaxy S4’s are connected via the Group Play, all the devices will play the same music in sync, thus creating a stereo/surround sound-esque effect. Group Play could also be used for sharing files and pictures, but the music aspect is what was appreciated by the users.
Group Play feature was only available for the Galaxy S4 and very few other Samsung devices, but there are couple of apps which using which the Group Play feature can be used on any Android device – SoundSeeder Music Player and SoundSeeder Music Speaker.
Once both these apps are downloaded on Android, you can connect multiple devices via the WiFi and get the Group Play effect. SoundSeeder Music Player and SoundSeeder Music Speaker.are separate apps but both these apps will work with optimum effect if they are used together.
SoundSeeder Music Player will stream your music to other Android devices via WiFi whereas SoundSeeder Speaker allows you to change the volume by incorporating the speakers of each handset. Both the apps support mp3, mp4, m4a, aac, 3gp, ogg, flac music formats. Instead of using a WiFi, you can also use the portable hotspot of any device.
SoundSeeder Music Player and SoundSeeder Music Speaker are available on the Google Play Store for free. However, the free version will shut out all the devices after 4 minutes. To use it uninterruptedly, you will have to shell out some money and buy it via the Google Play Store.
