Customizing the phone is a huge benefit that Android has over it’s other rivals. There are many launchers, themes and widgets available on the Google Play Store which will completely change the look and feel of any Android device. Especially if the Android device is rooted, then there are various hacks available for the smartphone.

XDA Recognized Developer rovo89 has created the Xposed Framework for the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S4 which will help in customizing the Galaxy S4 greatly. It is a great alternative to installing any theme based custom ROMs as it will give the device some added personality and features.

For the Xposed Framework to work on the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S4, the first requirement is that the device must be rooted. Without root, this Framework would not work. Once Xposed Framework is installed and root privileges are granted, the user can overhaul the AT&T Galaxy S4′s status bar, launcher, lock screen, framework, messaging app, and more.

Some changes that can be made using the Xposed Framework – status bar background color, clock’s color, size, circle battery icon option, any color circle battery, any color quick toggles, show date with status bar clock, hide headset apps notification, hide headset connected icon, any color signal icons, any color status bar icons, smart alarm icon options, hide quick setting labels, hide quick setting indicator bars, fixes and optimizations and much more.

Xposed Framework is a risk free solution to customize the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S4. It does not involve flashing of any zip files. It should be noted that Xposed Framework will not work on all the ROMs. It is compatible with the deodexed ROMs. Some ROMs may not be compatible due to hard coded MODs done by the ROM dev.

Download the Xposed Framework from here. This is an APK file. So use a suitable file manager and install it on the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S4.
