Google Now is an intelligent personal assistant developed by Google that is available within the Google Search mobile application for the Android and iOS operating systems. Google Now uses a natural language user interface to answer questions, make recommendations, and perform actions by delegating requests to a set of web services.

XDA Forum Member Svarion has developed a GoogleNowWallpaper app which has a wonderful collection of 11 live wallpapers comprised of images extracted straight from Google Now. It gives information in the form of live wallpaper that Google Now usually provides.

Featuring cities such as London, San Francisco, and New York, the live wallpapers much like Google Now mirror what is outside your window by cycling through dawn, day, dusk, and night. This app also offers the capability of customizing the settings according to different time zones.

GoogleNowWallpaper app offers live wallpapers so the users might think it will drain a lot of battery. But in reality, this is not the case. The GoogleNowWallpaper app wallpapers are not active all the time. Most of the times, the images are static which prevents the acute drainage of the battery. The images change their state only at the predetermined time intervals.

The GoogleNowWallpaper app comes in two versions – 960 x 800 version and a version supporting up to 1440 x 1280. 1440 x 1280 is the HD version of this app. The developer has provided both these versions free of cost. Both the versions are available on the Google Play Store. It is compatible with Android 2.2 (Froyo) and above versions.
