Google is sending out OTAs for a small security patch for Nexus 6P. A similar update was available for Nexus 5X a few days ago and now Nexus 6P has received it.

It has the build number MHC19I and brings about the following changes:

  • General device performance
  • DND next alarm disappearing issue
  • Carrier-specific bug fixes
  • Connectivity improvements

Nexus 6P was plagued by some performance issues and this patch will hopefully get rid of it. You will see that the Kernel has been bumped from 100GHz to 300GHz, which should boost the performance.

As usual, this update will be rolled out in phases so not all the devices will receive the update at same point of time. You can either wait for a notification to appear on your screen or go to Settings>> About Phone where you will get to know if any update has arrived. Do let us know if you find any improvement on the performance of the phone after the update.
