The launch of Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 has created a frenzy over the release of the latest and the highly anticipated update of the Android 5.0 Lollipop. Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 will be the first devices to run on Android Lollipop but there are loads of other devices which will get the Lollipop update.

Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 will receive the Android 5.0 system images later this week alongside the SDK. There were doubts whether Nexus 4 will receive the update but Google has clarified it that Nexus 4 will indeed receive the update which is a change in the policy of Google since it only provides updates to the devices which fall in the 18 month window.

On November 3rd the Nexus 7 (wifi) and Nexus 10 will reportedly receive the update first via an OTA, with the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, and Nexus 7 (LTE) getting it later that month.

It is a bit odd that Google has decided to update the tablets first with the Android Lollipop update. We will have to wait and see if all these rumors are really true.
