Google just rolled out the Android 5.1 update for few Nexus devices some weeks back. Now Android 5.1.1 is also ready to roll out in a few days. Google’s site shows Android 5.1.1 is ready for the Nexus 7 (2013) and Nexus 9.

The Nexus 9 is running build number LMY47S and the Wi-fi Nexus 7 (2013) is shown running build number LMY47W.

It is not sure when the official rollout will begin. But since it has appeared on the site, it might be just a few days away. Android Lollipop was a huge update over KitKat and it is natural that the number of bugs will also be more. Google have tried very hard to remove them but still haven’t achieved 100% success yet.

Nexus 7 has already gotten an Android 5.1 update, but the Nexus 9 is still waiting. It’s actually the last Nexus device stuck on Android 5.0 more than a month after Google announced 5.1 was a thing.
