CyanogenMod team have released a new stable version of CM 13 for Galaxy S4. It is around 326MB in size and brings latest security updates, exclusive themes, wallpapers, short-cuts and many more value-added features to the former flagship phone. Steps to install CM 13 ROM on Galaxy S4:

  1. Create a Nandroid backup from recovery, in case anything goes wrong.
  2. Download the CM 13 ROM zip file and Gapps zip file and transfer it to the phone.
  3. Switch off the phone and boot the phone into Recovery mode.
  4. Next, wipe the cache and the dalvik cache.
  5. Now go to “Install zip” and then “Select zip”. Choose the CM 13 ROM zip file.
  6. Now again clear cache and dalvik cache.
  7. Go to ”Install zip”, then “Select zip”. Choose the Gapps zip file.
  8. Perform steps 6 and 7 for Gapps fix.
  9. Then perform full data wipe task. To do so, click “Wipe Data/Factory Reset”, then choose “Yes” on next screen to confirm.
  10. After the process is complete, reboot the phone.
