  1. Download the CF-Auto-Root for Nexus 5 and extract the contents on the computer.
  2. Turn off the device and enter into bootloader mode by pressing and holding volume down and power buttons at the same time.
  3. Connect the phone to the computer.
  4. Unzip the CF-Auto-Root file on the computer.
  5. Run the Windows.bat file.
  6. The phone will automatically reboot. Done!
  7. You can check the root status of the phone by downloading the Root Checker app from the Google Play Store.
