HTC was the last major Android manufacturer left to unveil their 2016 flagship. Finally, they have unveiled HTC 10. Yes, as previously reported, this phone will be called HTC 10 and not HTC M10. HTC have made huge claims for this phone – it will have the best sound quality and camera.
HTC 10 has a 5.2″ screen with a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440. It is powered by the best processor out there – Qualcomm Snapdragon 820. It will have 4GB of RAM and come with 32GB internal memory which can be expanded with the use of microSD card.
HTC 10’s rear camera is 12MP Ultrapixel. It comes with OIS and has an f/1.8 aperture. Benchmark ratings show HTC 10 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge as the phones with best camera. The front camera of the phone is 5MP and it will also come with OIS which is not seen in any other device.
HTC 10 has a new sound system called ‘Boomsound Hi-Fi Edition’, which boasts two speakers – a tweeter by the earpiece and a bass driver in the bottom edge – each driven by their own amplifier. HTC says the 10 is ‘High Resolution Audio Certified’ and that all music played by the phone is upscaled before it reaches the user’s ears. HTC 10’s earphone are Type C instead of the usual 3.5mm and they have joined hands with JBL for the same.
HTC 10 will run on Android Marshmallow. The phone runs a very simple version of Google’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow with very little customization.
HTC 10 has an all metal body with fingerprint sensor and will be available in black, silver and gold colors. It will be sold from May and is priced at $700.
