HTC has announced the release of two smartphones – HTC Desire 601 and HTC Desire 300. While the HTC Desire 601 is a mid-range phone, the Desire 300 is an entry-level smartphone.

HTC describes this phone as “a powerful value smartphone for everyone.” HTC Desire 601 aka Zara will boast a 4.5″ screen having a resolution of 960×540. It will run on a 1.4 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and will have 1 GB of RAM. HTC Desire 601 has 8 GB internal storage with expandable memory up to 64 GB. It also has a 5 MP primary camera and a VGA secondary camera. Additionally, it has some of the features seen in the HTC One such as Zoe, BoomSound and BlinkFeed.

As stated before, HTC Desire 300 is an entry-level smartphone. HTC describes it as “personal and powerful entry-level smartphone.” Being an entry-level phone, the specifications of this phone are not the best. It has a 4.3″ screen with a resolution of 800×400. It has a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with 512 MB of RAM. It has 4 GB internal memory and an expandable memory up to 64 GB. The camera is same as that of the Desire 601 – 5 MP primary camera and VGA secondary camera. The BinkFeed feature will also be present in the Desire 300.

HTC Desire 601 and Desire 300 are expected to release in October. The pricing details of both these smartphones are not yet available.
