HTC has announced the much awaited HTC One M9 at the MWC 2015. It is the successor to the impressive HTC One M8 and by the looks of it, this device is set to continue the success story of the HTC One series.
The design of the HTC One M9 is similar to the previous two models. There is one small difference – presence of a gold trim around the outer edge. The power button has been moved from the top to the left hand side.
Coming to the specs of this device, most of the leaks have turned out to be true. The One M9 has the same 5in screen as on the M8, which means a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a pixel density of 441 per inch. It will be powered by a 64-bit, octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor and 3GB of RAM.
HTC has replaced the Ultrapixel rear camera with a 20MP one, while the front camera is a 4MP Ultra Pixel sensor, letting a claimed 300% more light into your selfies than the M8 managed. HTC One M9 will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop with the new Sense 7.0 UI. The internal storage is 32GB with a microSD card slot worth up to 128GB.
HTC One M9 will come in 4 colours – silver, gunmetal grey, gold and pink. HTC will sell it with a brand new Dot View case. This case has some new features – create custom wallpapers by drawing them on the phone with your finger, and play games through the cover.
HTC One M9 will go on sale from mid March. The price of this device is $649.99 off contract.
