Samsung’s Galaxy Note series created quite a trend in the market. It was the only device that can be considered as a phone-tablet or more commonly known as the phablet.
Sony announced the Xperia ZU as it’s competitor to the Galaxy Note series and now even HTC has entered the phablet market with HTC One Max. It is expected to give a direct competition to the Galaxy Note series and quite possibly surpass it.
According to the rumors, HTC One Max will have a 6-inch 1080p Super LCD 3 display, 2 GB of memory, either 32 GB or 64 GB of internal storage and a 3200 mAh battery.
A 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800 chip will power the Max. This chip is similar to the one that will be used in Sony Xperia ZU. Along with the Snapdragon processor, One Max is expected to have 2 GB of RAM.
The handset will feature the same HTC Ultrapixel camera as found in the HTC One. Along with the Ultrapixel camera, it will have the aluminum unibody that earned HTC so many awards.
Even though the HTC One Max has several competitors in the form of Galaxy Note series, Sony Xperia ZU as well as the Huawei Ascend Mate, it is expected to be a success.
The release date of the HTC One Max is expected to be early September.
