HTC One was launched earlier this year and it did very well in the market. Now HTC have begun the work towards the launch of the 2014 flagship and a few images of HTC One’s successor have been leaked online.
HTC One was codenamed M7 and its successor is internally named as M8. Seeing the images, the design of the M8 looks similar to the HTC One. However there are some subtle changes. A metal body is seen around the edges and the edges are rounded rather than straight. M8 is also a lot slimmer compared to the HTC One.
A small round hole is seen just above the camera. It is rumored to be a cutout for a fingerprint scanner.
Now coming to the specifications, the M8 is believed to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset clocked at 2.2GHz, 3GB of RAM. The display will be between 5″ and 5.2″ with a resolution of 2K (2048 × 1080) pixels.
Another rumor doing the rounds is that the M8 will run on Sense 6 but the operating system is not known yet.
As of now, these are just rumors and only time will tell whether they turn out to be true.
