LG announced the LG G Pad quite a while ago and now it has been made available to the US market. LG had mentioned that the LG G Pad will be in the affordable range but the $350 price has raised a few eyebrows.
LG G Pad 8.3 has a 8.3″ screen as the name suggests which is a Full HD IPS display. The large screen has a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels (273 ppi). It is powered by a 1.7 GHz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor. It has 2GB of RAM. LG G Pad 8.3 also has a 5MP primary camera. The 4,600 mAh Li-Polymer battery makes sure that the tablet has a long lasting battery life.
LG G Pad 8.3 has a very simple user interface and it makes use of LG’s suite of multitasking capabilities, such as QSlide Function 2.0, which allows the user to float two apps over the main screen with adjustable window size and transparency. The new device also comes equipped with Slide Aside, letting users simply move between any three open applications with a swipe of three fingers, for faster and more productive multitasking.
LG G Pad 8.3 will be a competitor to other 7″ and 8″ tablets but the price of the G Pad is higher than both the Nexus 7 (2013) as well as the iPad Mini. The LG G Pad 8.3 can be bought online through Best Buy’s site from today while it will be arriving to the retailers on 3rd November.
