Samsung and HTC released their flagship device this year and followed it up with their Prime versions. Now even LG has released the Prime version of the G3 in South Korea and have named it as LG G3 Cat.6. with the latest Snapdragon 805 processor.
Cat.6 denotes LTE-A speeds of up to 300Mbps (peak download rates), something the Snapdragon 801 processor (with its Cat.4 LTE modem) cannot offer. This device is not expected to be available outside of Korea just like its Samsung and HTC counterparts.
As for the specs, LG G3 Cat.6 will have the same specs as that of the G3 except the processor. It will feature a 5.5-inch QHD (1,440×2,560 pixel) AH-IPS LCD display, with 2GB of RAM for its 16GB built-in storage variant, and 3GB of RAM for its 32GB variant. There will be expandable memory card slot up to 128 GB.
LG G3 Cat.6 will come with the same camera of G3 – 13-megapixel rear camera with OIS+, dual-LED flash and a laser auto focusing sensor, while also including a front-facing 2.1-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, and a selfie mode.
LG G3 Cat.6 has been listed on the LG Bestmall website, with no details of pricing or availability. It is only up for pre-order right now, with a ‘notify me’ option noting details of interested users.
