LG are planning to launch the G Flex 2 at the CES 2015. Earlier this year, G Flex became the first smartphone to boast a curved display. Now G Flex 2 will be an advanced version with LG claiming that it will have self healing and enhanced flexibility.
The G Flex 2 is rumoured to offer a comparatively greater degree of flexibility, in comparison to its predecessor’s outer-body flexibility limit.
The enhanced flexibility is reportedly due to a special rubber chassis that offers more robustness to the entire handset assembly.
G Flex 2 will be a high end device. This year’s G Flex had all the high end specs with 6in curved P-OLED Capacitive touchscreen, enclosed within Gorilla Glass 2. It had Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating platform and was powered by a 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 13 MP primary camera and a 2.1 MP secondary snapper.
CES 2015 is starting January 6, 2015 and G Flex 2 will be launched around that period.
