Moto G

Moto G 3rd Gen has started receiving Android 6.0.1 update in India. It is the same OTA update that arrived for the Moto X Play in the region just last week. The update is around 371MB in size which is not that big.

This is a minor update and it brings about a few changes – users can enjoy the latest batch of Unicode 8.0 emojis and a new camera shutter sound with Android 6.0.1. Motorola’s change log states that the latest update includes a number of stability improvements and there’s also the March Android security update bundled in with the download as well.

Moto G Android 6.0.1 is rolled out in batches so not all the devices will receive it at the same time. You might have to wait for a few days before installing it on your phone.

You can go to Settings >> About Phone >> System Update to check if you have received the Android 6.0.1 update.
