Mozilla has officially launched the Open C and Open II, two newfangled devices which will run on Firefox OS (Mozilla’s own operating system). These revelations arrive as successors to the already existent ZTE Open smartphone, the device that was released in 2013.
During the time that there exists a cutthroat competition along with accruing rivalry, several companies are continuously trying to innovate to bring out new revelations to challenge against the existent competition.
It is regarded that ZTE plans on improving and providing advancements to their brand of handsets by introducing a new Firefox OS line. This lineup will be inclusive of all premium high-end and dual-core handsets. Presently, ZTE Open is the only budget smartphone amongst the available set of devices. The significant developments are a welcoming change and this turnaround of events will prove to be an advantageous measure for Mozilla to target other segments of the market.
At present there is no more information on the pricing and availability of these handsets, but it is believed that it will arrive this year.
