Play Store

Google Nexus 5 as well as the Android 4.4 KitKat were rumored to release on October 15. But we were all disappointed that it didn’t happen. However, Nexus 5 was visible on the Google Play Store and the pricing will start at $349. The Nexus 5 came with a quote “Capture the everyday and the epic in fresh new ways”. Nexus 5 was later removed from the Google Play Store.

Initially, Nexus 4 was removed and replaced by the Nexus 5. Then again, Google updated the Play Store by removing the Nexus 5. After sometime, Nexus 4 was once more available on the Play Store.

Nexus 5

The image of the Nexus 5 removes all the doubts. The latest Nexus device was rumored to be named as Nexus 4 (2013) but the appearance of the Nexus 5 on Google Play Store has ended all the rumors about the naming. The image also smartly shows the time as 4:40 as 4.4 is the version number of the next Android update.

Seeing the image, it is clear that the leaks by Tutto Android have turned out to be real. The status bar is transparent with white icons. The app drawer, camera and phone icons have undergone some change. Even the Gmail icon is a bit different from the earlier version.

Nexus 5 is based on LG’s latest flagship – LG G2. Since the LG G2 has done considerably well, Nexus 5 is also expected to perform admirably.
