Google has started to roll out the Android 4.4.4_R2 update for the Nexus 5 devices in some regions like Australia, New Zealand and India. In Australia and New Zealand, the update is only valid for Telstra and 2Degrees consumers respectively.

The build number of this update is KTU84Q and it is rolled out to very few customers at the moment. Its only released for the above mentioned countries and it is not expected that other regions will be receiving this update.

According to some reports, the update included an updated radio image and fixes telecom operator support issues.

Last month Google pushed out the Android 4.4.4 update to all the Nexus devices which was concerned with the security fix. However this update has surprised many and was completely out of the blue.

Google has already posted the updated factory images and binaries for Android 4.4.4_r2 on its developer website.
