Oppo have added two new smartphones to its portfolio – Oppo R9 and Oppo R9 Plus. Both are mid-rangers but R9 Plus will come in the phablet category. Both the devices will have top of the line front facing cameras.
Both the Oppo R9 and R9 Plus pack in one of Samsung’s 16 megapixel ISOCELL image sensors into the front of the handset, which also boasts an f/2.0 aperture. Oppo is tying this altogether with its improved “beautification plus” selfie panorama mode software feature.
Oppo R9 Plus has a large 6″ 1080p AMOLED display. It is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor, 4GB RAM and 64/128GB of internal storage. The rear camera and front camera are both 16MP with above mentioned specs. The battery capacity of phone is 4,120mAh.
Oppo R9 sports a 5.5″ 1080p AMOLED display and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor. It has 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The front camera is 16MP while the rear camera is 13MP. The battery capacity is slightly lesser 2,850mAh.
Both the smartphones are scheduled for release only in China for now. Oppo R9 is priced at $430, while the R9 Plus will cost $510.
