Niantic has released a new update of Pokemon Go – 0.31.0. And this fixes a lot of issues from the earlier versions. One of the main updates of this version is the scrapping of the foot prints to locate the nearby Pokemon. Now you will only to able to see the nearby Pokemon without knowing the actual distance.

The foot prints features stopped working a few days ago so Niantic though its best to scrap the feature. Another update is the ability to change the look of your avatar.

  • Adjusted battle move damage values for some Pokemon
  • Refined certain Gym animations
  • Improved memory issues
  • Removed footprints of nearby Pokemon
  • Modified battle damage calculation
  • Various bug fixes during wild Pokemon encounter
  • Updated Pokemon details screen
  • Updated achievement medal images
  • Fixed issues with displaying certain map features
  • Minor text fixes
