Samsung has announced 2 new smartphones to their ever expanding Galaxy series – Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5. And according to them, they are the slimmest smartphones ever released by Samsung. Both devices are mid-range device needs in an extremely thin, metal constructed frame.
Samsung Galaxy A3
Samsung Galaxy A3 has a 4.5-inch qHD Super AMOLED display. It is powered by a 1.2GHz Quad-core processor and 1 GB of RAM. It has 16GB of internal storage with support for 64GB microSD. Cameras include a 8 MP rear snapper and a 5 MP front snapper. Samsung lists Wide Selfie, Rear-cam Selfie and Beauty Face Features as camera features for these devices. It will run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat with Touchwiz UI.
Samsung Galaxy A5
Samsung Galaxy A5 is a better version of A3. It has a larger 5-inch qHD Super AMOLED display. It is powered by the same 1.2GHz Quad-core processor and 2 GB of RAM. It has 16GB of internal storage with support for 64GB microSD. Cameras include a 13 MP rear snapper and a 5 MP front snapper. Camera features are the same for both the devices. It will also run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
Both the devices are available in a variety of colors – Pearl White, Midnight Black, Platinum Silver, Soft Pink, Light Blue and Champagne Gold with the youth as the target markets.
Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 will be launched in select markets starting from November in China. No pricing detail is available as of now.
