Samsung had launched a built-in pico projector phone named Galaxy Beam a couple of years ago. Now Samsung has announced its successor, which has unsurprisingly named Galaxy Beam 2.
Like the previous one, Samsung Galaxy Beam 2 will have a built-in projector along with the support of background color corrections and a few dedicated applications such as Notepad.
The device will sport a 4.7-inch WVGA display and will be powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor along with 1 GB of RAM. Galaxy Beam 2 will also have a 5 MP primary camera. This device will run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The battery capacity is 2600mAH.
At the moment, no plans have been announced to launch this phone anywhere in the West. It is only available for the Chinese market.
It will be interesting to see how this device performs since its predecessor was not a huge hit. The release date and the pricing details of the phone have not been revealed yet.
