A lot of rumors have been going around about Samsung releasing a device with a metal body and according to a leaked image, this might turn out to be true. The rumored device – Galaxy Alpha, is believed to have a metal body along with the specs that are even better than the Galaxy S5.
This device was known as the Galaxy S5 Prime or Galaxy F previously. Galaxy Alpha will have a metal chassis while the polycarbonate and cheaper plastic materials will be dumped in favor of aluminum or other premium components.
According to various sources, Galaxy Alpha will boast a 2,560×1,440-pixel resolution display, a 16-megapixel camera, and 3GB RAM. Along with this, it will have the latest Android version and the Snapdragon 805 processor.
The rear image of the device shows the logo for LTE-Advanced, the ultrafast 4G connectivity found in South Korea. It is still not clear whether this device will be made available for other regions or it is a limited edition device.
Galaxy Alpha will bridge the gap between the Galaxy S5 and the Galaxy Note 4 and it is slated to release in September at Samsung’s next Unpacked event at IFA.
