An Active version of the Galaxy S5 has been spotted on Samsung’s official website. Many versions of the Galaxy S5 will release in a few weeks and Galaxy S5 Active is one of them. Galaxy S5 Active is the more rugged version of the flagship Galaxy S5.
The smartphone appears under the codename Samsung SM-G850F, which is supposed to be the international version of the Galaxy S5 Active. Its still unclear as to why Samsung is going ahead with the Active version as the Galaxy S5 is already a waterproof device.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Active will feature the same specs found in the Galaxy S5. It will have a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution, as well as a high-capacity 2800 mAh battery.
Galaxy S5 Active will be powered by a Snapdragon 801 quad core processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB internal memory with a microSD card slot. It will also have 16 MP primary camera and 5 MP secondary camera. It will run on Android 4.4 KitKat.
The Galaxy S5 Mini will not have a heart rate monitor but it will be present in the Active version. Another change found is that the S5 Active will have a IP68 certification instead of the IP67. It means more ruggedness and this device will be much heavier.
