HTC has started the work on its 2014 flagship with the HTC M8 and now even Samsung have started planning for the Galaxy S5. Along with the S5, Samsung will also launch the Galaxy Gear 2.
A report from South Korea states that the Galaxy S5 production will start in January 2014 and Samsung are expected to make 6 million units by the end of February.
Samsung Galaxy S5 will have 5″ OLED display, a Exynos/Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with the new 64-bit architecture following along the lines of Apple. It is expected to have 3GB of RAM and the primary camera will be 16MP.
Galaxy S5 will come in two versions. The first will have a premium metal body and the other is expected to have a flexible display.
Samsung Galaxy S5 will have a 4000mAh battery. It will run on Android 4.4 KitKat with a layer of Touchwiz over it.
Samsung’s Galaxy Gear 2 will also launch along with the 2014 flagship device and it is rumored to be 15% to 20% thinner than the original Galaxy Gear.
