Samsung have launched a new device – Samsung Galaxy S7 Active. As the name suggests, it is the variant of the flagship S7 and shares most of its specs. S7 Active is for those who want a more rugged phone and are prone to accidents or dropping their phone.
Samsung Galaxy S7 Active has a different design than S7. It has a more rugged look and feel. Also, the battery capacity of S7 Active is 4,000mAh compared to 3,000mAh of Galaxy S7.
All other specs have remained the same. Samsung Galaxy S7 Active features a 5.1″ Quad HD Super AMOLED display. Galaxy S7 Active is powered by either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 processor, and either the Adreno 530 Mali-T880 MP12 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM and either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, with up to a further 200GB available with microSD card. The rear shooter has a 12MP sensor, while the front camera is 5MP.
Samsung Galaxy S7 Active is exclusively available via AT&T and has only been launched in US. It will be available from June 10 and has been priced at $26.50 per month for 30 months and $33.13 per month for two years.
