Samsung finally unveiled the much awaited Samsung Galaxy Tab S series and all the rumors and leaks have turned out to be true. Samsung Galaxy Tab S will indeed come with 2 screen sizes – 8.4″ and 10.5″. However the specs of both the tablets are same.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S comes with some high end specs. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and Galaxy Tab S 8.4 will have two different chipset varieties. The LTE variants pack a Snapdragon 800 chipset with a 2.3GHz quad-core Krait 400 CPU, while the Wi-Fi version offers Samsung’s Exynos 5 Octa chipset with a quad 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 and quad 1.9GHz Cortex-A15.
Both the tabs will have 3 GB of RAM abd come with 16/32 GB internal memory with a microSD card slot with an expandable memory of 128 GB. The rear camera will be 8 MP and the front camera will be 2.1 MP. They will run on Android 4.4 KitKat.
The screen resolution of both the tabs will be WQXGA (2560 x 1600 pixels). Due to difference in screen size, the Tab 10.5 will have 288 ppi and Tab 8.4 will have 359 ppi. Tab 10.5 will have a 7900mAh Li-Ion battery, while the 8.4″ features a 4900mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S will be available from July. The price of 8.4″ WiFi version will be $399 and that of 10.5″ version will be $499.
