Samsung launched the Xcover 2 a couple of years ago which is a rugged device to be used in rough environment. Samsung plans to release its sequel this year – Galaxy XCover 3. Pictures of this device have been leaked and it can be seen above that it has quite a rough exterior so that it can last even in the most gruelling environments.
Along with the photos, the specs information is also available. XCover 3 comes with a 4.8-inch screen with 800 x 480 resolution. It will be powered by a Marvell Armada PXA1908 chipset, a quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and 1GB of RAM.
Other specs include 8GB of internal memory, 5MP rear camera and a 2MP frontcamera. The phone will also run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
With Samsung launching Active versions of the flagship device, Xcover 3 will aim for the entry level markets which want a really rugged device. This device is set to be as low key as its previous two predecessors.
