Samsung has continued with its flagship Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series since a long time now. The first Samsung Galaxy S was a huge hit among users and really started Samsung’s dominance in the smartphone market. Then came the huge, tablet sized Galaxy Note series and Samsung entered the Phablet competition. These series have continued with the Galaxy S4 launched in April of this year and the recently announced Galaxy Note 3.

Now however, Samsung have felt the need to start another flagship series to overcome the recent lack of sales of its existing flagship devices. This new series is rumored to be the Galaxy F series and is supposed to be a super-premium series. In other words, the Galaxy F series phones could feature higher specifications and pricing than the current flagship series.

With Samsung’s competitors like Sony, Apple and LG launching their flagship devices late in the year, Samsung does not feel that the Galaxy S4 could compete with those now. And though with its recent announcement of the Galaxy Note 3, many users refrain from buying it owing to its size. Samsung thus have decided to introduce this new flagship series which can be launched later in the year and used to compete with other flagship devices.

The Galaxy F series devices will feature a full metal body, probably aluminium, and a sleek new design. It will also come with Octa-core Exynos CPU and a 16 MP camera with Optical Image Stabilization. There are however no details regarding the screen size or the case of replaceable batteries. The price of these devices can be same or even higher than the current flagship devices owing to its specifications.

We will have to wait for Samsung to officially announce the Galaxy F series for further details. However, with its rumored pricing, it’s better to start saving from now itself if you are planning to buy it.
