Samsung Galaxy S5 was released earlier this year as the flagship device of the year 2014. Many variants of S5 were expected to be launched in the coming months and Samsung has kept the trend and released the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini – the smaller version of the Galaxy S5.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini comes with a 4.5″ screen which is slightly bigger than the 4.3″ screen seen in the Galaxy S4 Mini. The resolution is also increased from the 540 x 960 on the S4 Mini to a far more acceptable 720 x 1280 on the Galaxy S5 Mini.
Coming to the processor, Samsung has dropped the dual core processor seen in the S4 Mini. Galaxy S5 Mini will have 1.4GHz quad-core chip backed up with 1.5GB of RAM. Galaxy S5 Mini will have an 8 MP rear camera and a 2.1 MP front camera. It will come equipped with Android 4.4 KitKat with a layer of Touchwiz over it. Galaxy S5 Mini will also have the Finger Print Sensor and the Heart Rate Monitor seen in the Galaxy S5.
The phone will be available in four colours: Charcoal Black, Shimmery White, Electric Blue and Copper Gold. It will be initially launched in Russia in July followed by UK and then other parts of the world.
