Samsung has started a new venture and released a smartphone with the Tizen OS in India. According to Samsung, it got a good reception in India so Samsung has decided to release it in Bangladesh also. Samsung launched the Z1 in Bangladesh on 3rd February.
Samsung Z1 running on the Tizen OS is a low end device with very modest specs. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 768MB RAM, 4GB internal memory, 3.15 megapixel camera and a 1,500mAh battery.
India and Bangladesh represent almost similar type of market so Samsung is hoping that it will be a success in both these countries. Samsung plans to make more Tizen based devices in the future – wearables, SmartTVs, and home appliances.
The price of the Samsung Z1 device is around $95. With this price, Samsung hopes to get the attention of the people wanting a cheaper device with good performance.
