Last year, Samsung launched the Galaxy Mega 5.8 and 6.3 and it did well in the market. Those were mid range devices with huge screens. Samsung is planning to launch another device – a 7″ phablet named Samsung Galaxy W. This device will be exclusively launched in Korea.
The Samsung Galaxy W will sport a 7″ HD display. It will run on a 1.2 GHz dual core processor and it will have 1.5 GB of RAM. As for the camera, Galaxy W will have an 8 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front camera.
Samsung Galaxy W will come with an internal memory of 16 GB which can be expanded via the microSD card slot to 64 GB. One news that will come as a slight disappointment is that it will run on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and not on Android KitKat.
As mentioned before, this device is only for Korea. The release date of Galaxy W is not known but the price of this device will be $495.
