Sony has officially announced Sony Xperia Z5 Premium. It has become the first phone to boast 4K display. Along with the display, Sony has upgraded almost all the aspects of Xperia Z5 Premium as compared to the last flagship.
Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a resolution of 3840 x 2160 and pixel density of 806 per inch. Compare this to iPhone 6 Plus which has same screen size of 5.5″ but its resolution is 1080 x 1920 and it has a pixel density of 401 per inch.
The use of 4K display has surprised many as only a year ago, Sony decided not to use 2K display in Xperia Z3 as users can’t tell the difference between that and regular Full HD.
Other specs of Sony Xperia Z5 Premium include Snapdragon 810 processor with 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, microSD, and a 3430 mAh battery that Sony says should provide around 2 days of battery life. Another upgrade is the camera – Xperia Z5 Premium has a 23MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.
Sony Xperia Z5 Premium will be available from October.
