Sony Xperia M2 is a good mid range device which costs $290. Now Sony wants to launch a water resistant version of this device and it will be named as Sony Xperia M2 Aqua. The Xperia M2 Aqua will be IP68 certified which is even better than the IP58-certified Xperia Z2.
The specs of the Aqua version will remain identical to the Xperia M2. It will come with a Snapdragon 400 CPU with 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, microSD, a 4.8-inch qHD display, an 8MP rear cam, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth, and a 2300 mAh battery.
Sony Xperia M2 Aqua will run on Android 4.4 KitKat which will be a huge boost for the users. With this device, Sony aims to brings the water resistance to the mid range devices and after M2 Aqua, many more devices are expected to follow suit.
Sony Xperia M2 Aqua will be launched in this fall in Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific. Its price will be higher than the $290 of the Xperia M2.
