Sony Xperia Z2 was released a few month back in the 2014 Mobile World Congress. Although the device is still not available in many regions, Sony has already started to plan for the next flagship device – Sony Xperia Z3. The Xperia Z3 is rumored to be unveiled in August.
According to leaked specs, Sony Xperia Z3 will have some common features as that of Sony Xperia Z2. The Z3 will have the same 1080p display that is present in the Z2. This might come as a disappointment as the high end devices nowadays have 2k resolution. Along with the display, the Xperia Z3 will have the same 20.7 MP camera and 3 GB of RAM.
Now coming to the changes, Xperia Z3 will be powered by Snapdragon 805 chip, which features a quad-core Krait 450 central processing unit, with each cores clocked at 2.7GHz, while paired with Adreno 420 graphics unit.
Another change is that the Xperia Z3 will have the PVD coating technology, which will give the smartphone mirror stainless steel feature similar to Nokia 8800. This will result in a more corrosion resistant surface, higher impact resistance and excellent resilience to scratches.
As mentioned before, Xperia Z3 will be released in August 2014. The absence of qHD screen will lower the price of the phone and it will provide competition to the Prime versions of the Galaxy S5 and HTC One M8.
