June’s Google I/O was a huge event with Android 5.0 and Android One the major talking points. Android One is the program initiated to target the developing markets with good money to value devices. Initially, it was launched in India and later expanded to Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. A new device has entered the Android One family – Symphony Roar A50.
Bangladeshi carrier Bangalink has announced this device. Symphony Roar A50 will have a 4.5” FWVGA IPS (480 x 854) display. It will be powered by Cortex A7 Quad Core 1.3 GHz and 1 GB of RAM. It will run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
Other specs include – 5 MP rear camera with flash, 2 MP front camera, 8 GB internal memory with a microSD card slot for expandable memory and 1780 mAh battery.
Symphony Roar A50 users will get 1 GB of free 3G data transfer for the first month (primarily for OS upgrades and app downloads). For the next 5 months, users will get 300 MB of free 3G data. The device will be launched in mid January.
