T-Mobile today has officially unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Light. This announcement arrives as a welcome addition into the already immesureable Samsung Galaxy series.
Previously we had seen rumors that hinted the arrival of this device; popular source evleaks had also revealed this handset via Twitter dubbed as the “Garda”. The device shows up as an entry level Android Smartphone which runs on Android 4.2.2. Based on the technical specs, the device possesses the same specs as the Galaxy S3 Mini. It is powered by 1.4GHz quad-core processor, which is regarded to be a Snapdragon 200/400 chip for facilitating LTE support.
Additionally the device constitutes 1GB of RAM and 8GB of built-in storage and a microSD slot, and packs in a 1,800mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy Light features a 4-inch WVGA (480×800) display and appears like a mid-level balance setting device between Galaxy S3 Mini and Galaxy S4 Mini. The specs also happen to be almost similar to the Galaxy S3 Mini.
At present there is no more information available with respect to pricing or launch date by T-mobile, however it is reckoned that T-mobile will try and attract a fair share of consumers by pricing the device on a low scale. This will prove advantageous during the time that competitiveness exists along-with AT&T in reference to newly released Galaxy S3 mini.
Though the price remains undisclosed presently, it is construed that the device will be available for a price of $0.99 on a two-year contract. What is your take on the pricing of the device?
Will you buy this handset or save up a little longer to buy some other Galaxy Series model?
