Its been known since a few months that Google and Tag Heuer are working on a wearable smartwatch. Now Tag Heuer have taken the wraps off the first luxury Android Wear smartwatch at a press event earlier today – Tag Heuer Connected.
Similar in design to Tag Heuer’s Carrera series Connected is made of grade 2 titanium and comes in a total of seven colors. It comes with a 1.5-inch circular LTPS LCD scratch-resistant sapphire crystal display with a resolution of 360 x 360 and a pixel density of 240ppi. It comes with IP67 rating which means it is waterproof.
Tag Heuer Connected has impressive specs – 1.6GHz dual-core Intel processor, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of on-board storage. It has a 410mAh battery which is sufficient for such a small display. It will give minimum 25 hours of usage.
Tag Heuer Connected will be available on official Tag Heuer website at a price of $1500. Since the shelf life of smartwatch is much less, Tag Heuer will trade your smartwatch with traditional Carrera for a price of $1500 if the smartwatch was dated within 2 years. Traditional Tag Heuer watch costs around $3000 so this is quite a good deal.
