Nexus 4, Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 spotted running on Android 5.1


Android 5.1 is the next iteration of Android and it is believed to fix a lot on issues on the devices. Nexus 4, 5 and 6 have been spotted running on Android 5.1 which means that the update will be released very soon.

All the three devices have been spotted running on different build numbers with even the version numbers different. Nexus 6 was spotted with version LMY40, Nexus 5 with version LMY47E and the Nexus 4 on LMY36B.

Geekbench tests show Nexus 5 running on Android 5.1


Android 5.0 was released in November. While it was met with positive reviews, there were quite a few bugs present with this update. Google rolled out two small updates but they too didnt solve the problem completely. Now the next update is supposed to be Android 5.1 which will be bigger update and a Nexus 5 running on this version has been spotted on the Geekbench tests.

Google will release Android 5.1 possibly by February


Google Android 5.0 Lollipop was released last month with a host of new features. It is the largest update of the Android OS since Ice Cream Sandwich was released three years ago.
